To sit in nature and paint, is perhaps the greatest gift a painter could give him/herself. And there is perhaps no greater challenge for a painter than to capture the smells in the air, the heat of the sun, the play of the grasses and leaves, and the drifting of the clouds. To translate the splendid complexity of mother earth into the language of brush strokes is an act of magic - and one I will continue to do forever.
