I have some exciting news to share:
I will be having an open house for the new location of The Coloured Web on Sunday September 4, from 4pm-midnight. It will be a casual gathering and fire for those who would like to see the space and celebrate the shift in season. Bring family and friends. There will be discounts on art classes for those who register on that day. Classes begin the week of September 19th. The new location is 11435- 102 Street.
There is still more beautiful news. I have been commissioned by the Government of Alberta to paint a piece for the Centennial Celebration of the Civil Servants. The work will be "unveiled" on October 11 th, at the Jubilee Auditorium, and then moved to hang permanently in the Alberta Legislature building. If you would like the full story and/or to see the painting in its beginning stages, come to the open house!
The art that has been occupying my hands and soul over the last two months is this school. I am so happy to be able to offer this new sacred space to whom ever needs to experience it. It would be a blessing for me to have people wonder by to share food or conversation. (note: for those who are "out of town/ out of country", there will soon be a Coloured Web near you!)
