Tessa's Figure Paintings
When I am scattered or when I am overwhelmed by the magnitude of what it is I want to express with my paintings, a condition I find myself in much of the time, I paint fruit. And to be more specific, I paint lemons in reflective environments. There is something about light bouncing around, about the shape of the lemon, the sourness, and the colour that grounds me and brings me back to "looking", "feeling", and loving paint.
